We want you to come and talk with us. How does it work?
1. From the initial phone call with you we will schedule a design consultation at your home, or location of the proposed water feature.
It is always good to ask a few questions on the phone like:
- Do you have an area picked out?
- Are you thinking about a pond or pondless waterfall?
- Have you seen any of our ponds in person?
- Do you know any of our clients?
- Do you have a budget in mind?
- Have you ever had a water feature?
- Are you having any other projects done that will enhance our water feature like patio, lighting, additions, decks, landscaping?
- How long have you been thinking about a water garden?
2. Once I get to your home or commercial location, the magic can begin. It usually takes anywhere from 5-10 minutes of being in a space, and talking with you about your ideas, and I get a "vision".
Understanding your requests and ideas along with budget allows me envision your perfect, one of a kind design.
Using regular notebook paper I can give you a rough draft design of what the transformed area will look like.
Once we have the details worked out, we can use a garden hose, and some spray paint to let you see the exact size and location of the feature.
Usually by this point during our first meeting I have a good idea of the cost of the project and any extras like lighting and landscaping.
3. With approval of the design for the project, and the budget, we can then create a very detailed contract that explains every little thing, from type of stone used to pipe size. Also we will create a more legible 2nd draft to the design.
4. Once we have the contract and more legible design ready, it is time for our 2nd visit. At this point we can answer any questions, and schedule your project.
All of our projects are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. We require a signed contract, and a deposit of 50% of the total project's cost to add your project to our schedule.
5. This step is the fun one. We come build your beautiful natural-looking watergarden!!
Upon completion of the watergarden, the final 50% balance is due.
6. About 2 weeks later I come back and answer any remaining questions (there usually is some), and show you what you will need to do to keep it up (usually not very much).
After a few weeks of living with your watergarden you may have some more questions. If not, it is just as good to have a little reassurance that there is nothing to it.
A watergarden is a living ecosystem, unlike any other home improvement. For this reason it is good to know that if anything comes up, or you have a random question some day, then we are just a phone call away.
Note: We charge a $65 fee for our consultation services. This fee is given back to you in the form of $65 worth of plants upon completion of your watergarden.
